Peach Cobbler is summer and southern.

When you buy more peaches than you can reasonably eat before they spoil, you make cobbler!   

 

You need beautiful ripe peaches:

 

Sugar, flour, and nutmeg

simmer. butter. vanilla.

They should be glossy now!

  1. Oh my. I know it was amazing. Did you make your crust? If so, what recipe did you use? I’m always tinkering with crust recipes and don’t have one I love that balances delicious with somewhat healthy. We had fried okra last night, which would have gone nicely with your meal!

      Rhi, I cheated and used a Pillsbury crust since I had a box in the freezer and didn’t have Crisco in the pantry. Typically, I have used the Better Homes and Garden cookbook recipe. I’m fairly heavy handed with dough, and have never perfected it.

      Thailand has Okra? Either I missed that all these years or forgot! Either way…yum!
