Our garden was begun in earnest today! We weeded and prepared the flower beds a few weeks ago and today we planted some bulbs! Now being bulbs, we aren’t to expect glorious flowers this year but was advised to see this as a future blessing. I wonder what we will see this spring and summer? We still have a few more areas to plant and will probably not start from seeds so that we do have something to see this year. At least my hydrangea is beinging to sprout leaves and show me the hope of a bouquets of bluish~purple bliss. We are expected to have a little cool down this week. After that I hope to get my tomato and basil seeds in the peat pots. Here is what is new to the garden…

Acidanthera Gladiolus
Iris Hollandica
Mixed Ranunculus

Queen Fabiola

(On a side note…we are now the proud parents of 5 painted lady butterflies! The kids are giddy with excitement.)
